Our History
 Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music and Drama is owned by Artistic Director, Annie Hackett and Managing Director, Adam Theisen. As fine arts professionals, they have performed, directed, produced or choreographed over 100 pieces, and have over twenty-five years teaching experience. Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music and Drama, unlike other schools, is an education-based fine arts school meaning an academic foundation taught by professionally trained faculty.
Although our students have gone on to pursue both collegiate and professional careers in dance and the arts, the Academy’s philosophy is to enrich the lives of our students by providing a comprehensive fine arts education. Our students range from 3 years to 80 years and welcome the warm, professional environment the Academy’s owners have strived to create and maintain. Each year we will expand our programs and continually improve our facilities.
We want all of our students to come away from lessons with a love of the arts, and not a passive interest. An active learner is our best customer. By design, our entire focus is on teaching; we are educators.

Ballet Classes
- Pre-Ballet: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, must wear skirts
- Basic Ballet: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, must wear skirts, black patent leather tap shoes (replace ribbons with elastic ties)
- Ballet 1: Light blue leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
- Ballet 2: Burgundy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
- Ballet 3: Forest green leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
- Ballet 4/5, Teen Ballet: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
- Hair: all levels must have hair in a bun with a hairnet and bobby pins!
Jazz, Tap, Modern, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Lyrical Classes
• Solid colored leotard, black jazz pants, black jazz shoes, tap shoes, dance sneakers (Hip Hop), bare feet for modern
• Hair : Must be neatly secured off of face in ponytail
No shorts and no jewelry in any class.
