Here's what sets us apart from other studios!
All dance studios are NOT the same.
At the Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama, you’ll find:
Here are a few things that every parent should know before choosing a dance studio:
What type of dance floor is used?
What is the size of the class? An important factor in choosing a good dance studio is class size. Small dance classes mean each child will receive more attention, learn more and have more fun. Students, especially younger children, learn at different paces. Large classes can make your child feel like a nonentity and put pressure on them to keep up with the class. At the Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama our small classes foster a welcoming atmosphere, comfort and security, fewer distractions and learning at an individual pace. What is the quality of the faculty?
Can I get immediate assistance and quality customer service? In many studios the teacher or studio owner conducts classes while also handling the studio administration. By trying to do two jobs at once, the classes may suffer as the teacher has to use class time for customer service issues. To have a good experience, choose a studio that can assist you with details like costumes, schedules or dancewear, even if a teacher is occupied in class. The Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama has a studio manager present during all regular scheduled class times, so you can get immediate assistance.

Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping, which can put stress on bones and joints. The best way to prevent against potential injury is by choosing a studio with a professional “floating floor.” The Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama uses a vinyl composite “Marley” floor, accepted worldwide as the best surface layer for recreational to professional dance.
It takes a special person to understand and know how to teach your children to dance. Many dance schools hire teachers right out of high school, who often lack the maturity and professionalism to work with young dancers. Professional teachers are specially trained to work with young students, can impart wisdom and experience about the dance world, and work full-time in their profession. At the Kenosha Academy of Dance, Music & Drama, our teachers are highly trained, skilled both in dance and in teaching dance, and are passionate about helping our dancers master the skills necessary to advance.
