Description |
| Parent & Tot |
Parent & Tot classes introduce parents and students to the joy of dancing. Children will learn basic concepts such as right and left, matching the teacher and counting music. They will develope an understanding of basic tap and ballet steps while sharing the fun with their mom's and dad's. |
| Preschool Ballet |
Pre-Ballet is for dancers 3-4 years old. These sessions emphasize an introduction to dance terminology and positions. Although designed as an overture to ballet, it is the perfect foundation for motor skill development and classroom etiquette. Creative movement, props and social interaction games are also incorporated into these dynamic, fun classes. |
| Basic Ballet/Tap |
The Basic Ballet/Tap program for kids ages 5-6. Lets a child discover the joy of ballet choreography and the fundamentals of tap technique. Students at this age are eager to move and learn, so the simple act of adding a new dance style to the classroom is a true motivator. Basic Ballet/Tap classes are the young ones' favorites. |
| Ballet Levels 1-5 |
Ballet is the basis for almost all technical forms of dance. Ballet emphasizes the development of classical ballet positions with special emphasis on leg strength and flexibility. *Students must be 7 years to enter all Level 1 classes. It is highly recommended that Ballet 2 students take class twice a week. At Level 4 and up, students must take class a minimum of twice a week. Three times a week is recommended. Levels are determined by faculty. An intermediate/advanced Ballet class focusing on barre work, pirouettes, leaps and flexibilty, |
| Pointe |
For the advanced ballet student. Pointe students must take pointe class twice a week and must attend a minimum of two ballet classes per week. By teacher invitation only. |
| Jazz |
Jazz is an exciting and ever evolving dance form full of rhythm, syncopation, passion and life. Classes explore body isolations of the head, shoulders, ribcage, feet and arms and encourage individual expression and the development of personal style. Jazz can be powerful and percussive or expressive and lyrical. Jazz dance is taught with the today's music complement its athletic, vibrant technique.
*Students must be 7 years to enter all Level 1 classes.
*Adult Jazz is for students aged 16 and up. This non-competitive, energetic technique class is designed for the beginner/intermediate student looking for a fun, focused dance class.

| Tap |
Tap Dance Classes emphasize the development and strengthening of tap dance technique and terminology, highlighting the importance of rhythm and sound in the movement of tap. Special attention is paid to the origins of tap movements and how tap dance has changed as a dance form. |
| Lyrical |
Lyrical combines ballet, jazz and modern techniques. Dancers learn routines centered on feeling and emotion, and movements characterized by fluidity and grace, set to a diverse spectrum of music.
**Students must be enrolled in Ballet 4 or higher and must take 2 ballet classes per week to take this class. Students in lower levels who are interested Lyrical should take Modern 1 or 2.

| Modern |
Modern dance technique is designed to develop the mind, body and spirit to be an expressive communicator through movement. Structured technical exercises that condition the body for strength, coordination and flexibility are developed. Physical activities which focus on the aspects of space, time, shape, and movement dynamics are explored through individual work as well as group participation. |
| Musical Theatre Dance & Voice |
Musical Theater Dance Class teaches fun and exciting choreography from selected Broadway musicals. Dancers will also learn the styles of such Broadway greats as Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins. Classes focus on developing performance technique and facial expression. Since musical theater dance is largely based on jazz dance technique, students will gain a great technique base of core strength, jumps, leaps, and turns. |
| Hip Hop |
A high-energy class that uses the latest sounds in pop music together with choreography influenced by some of today's hottest videos. Hip hop involves elements of popping & locking, and breaking as well as freestyle giving the students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. With traditional Jazz dance as its foundation, Hip Hop is always age appropriate and always a blast! |
