  • Questions? We are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding your dancer or our programs. Let us know if we can help you in any way.
It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all studio activities, such as viewing days, recitals, extra classes, and dates the school is open or closed. The studio will post all such notices in the monthly e-newsletter, on our website and Facebook pages. It is the parent’s (or adult student’s) responsibility to regularly check these to ensure they are informed. It is also the parent’s (or adult student’s) responsibility to inform the studio of any address, telephone or email address change.
We are always happy to discuss concerns or your child’s progress with you. Please leave a message for the appropriate teacher with the desk staff or you may leave a phone message. We ask that parents not engage teachers in these types of conversations in between classes. This delays the start of the next class and is unfair to the students.
Parent Portal Login
To use the Login feature, go to the home page of our website. Click on Current Students and  then Your Account. You will be asked for your email and password. If it is your first time logging on, click on “I don’t have or know my password.” Follow directions.
 Class Placements
Class placement is by staff discretion only. In order to maintain the high quality of our instruction, we place students according to their ability, not by age, outside activities, or carpools. At the end of every school year we will post placements for the following year on your account page accessible through the family login on the website. Please understand that at the beginning levels (1, 2 and 3), students should expect to spend 2-3 years in each level as they build a solid foundation of technique. It is highly recommended that students in Ballet 1 and up take a minimum of two ballet technique classes per week in order to progress.
Studio Hours
The studio is open a half-hour prior to the first class of the day and 15 minutes after the last class of the day. Please note this when arranging drop off and pick up times for your child. The studio is not responsible for providing childcare before or after any class. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time before or after class. Students should not arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to their class time and must be picked up within 15 minutes after their class has ended.
Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather, a message will be left on the studio answering machine after 2:00pm regarding the status of classes. A text message and email will be sent as well. Please note that we do not necessarily follow school closing as roads are often cleared by the time studio classes begin. Any cancelled classes may be made up on your own time from our regular schedule of classes.
Parent Observation
Parents and outside observers are not permitted during class times. We have found this to be distracting to students and disruptive to the learning process. We set aside 1 week per year as parent observation week. This gives you the opportunity to see your child’s progress and makes it a very special occasion for your child to perform. We have large screen, closed circuit TVs in the waiting area so parents may watch their children during class.
Parent Etiquette
Parents, please drop off and pick up your child promptly. Above all else, we want your child to be safe. Please instruct them to wait inside the studio for you. If your child has any specials needs, please notify us immediately. This includes allergies, disabilities, and injuries. Remember that you are a role model to your child. Always be supportive and respectful to our students and staff. Please be quiet in the lobby during class times. Please label all of your child’s belongings. Please make sure younger children have gone to the bathroom prior to class time.

KAPA's Winter Progress Performance is your opportunity to experience your student's progress firsthand. This is a very informal, fun, onstage experience that the whole family can enjoy! All classes are included; however, individual participation is optional as it is the holiday season. There are no costumes, theatrical sets or specialized lighting for this performance. Students wear their class uniform. It is a great way for new dancers to get comfortable with being on stage!
