Tap Dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one's tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. As such, it is also commonly considered to be a form of music. Students explore rhythms and syncopations, learn technical tap dance steps and vocabulary. They also gain the confidence to perform onstage. Tap dance helps children of all ages develop better coordination, balance and timing. All of the Academy's tap dance classes follow a set curriculum.
